L’international hosts at least a couple of live bands and artists most evenings in the small basement under the bar. This venue always attracts keen music punters on the hunt for unsigned, new artists! The best part? The majority of their live events are completely free!

LE POP UP DU LABEL

This cool live music venue hosts jazz evenings on Tuesday’s, then rock, hip-hop or electro concerts the rest of the week, bringing their basement alive with an electric atmosphere!

LA BELLEVILLOISE

This underground concert venue is a favourite amongst trendy Parisians. Far removed from the mainstream nightlife scene, La Bellevilloise is an underground concert venue where you can attend events as diverse as hip-hop evenings organised by Free Your Funk, cuban afternoons put on by Gilles Peterson or soul, funk, world concerts.

L’ESPACE B

Despite it’s secretive location, hidden in a Moroccan restaurant (which sells delicious dishes for €10), this underground concert venue is a popular choice. Many well known international artists have played here.

LA MAROQUINERIE

Built like an amphitheatre, it’s unsurprising that the acoustic quality in this venue is always top notch. Despite it’s impressive architecture, it’s not built for more than 500 people, meaning that concerts here still hold an intimate quality. Their line up is adventurously avant-guard, featuring mainly indie pop and rock, but also funk, folk, soul, jazz and even hardcore metal and punk. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality of the shows (between €20-25).

LE BATOFAR

An atypical concert venue, Batofar is a large lighthouse boat moored on the Seine that hosts up-and-coming artists until the early hours of the morning. This venue specialises in hip-hop, rock, electro, dancehall, house, minimal, techno, drum’n’base, jungle and dubstep.

LE TRIANON

This historic theatre, built in the 19th century, is a very aesthetically pleasing venue for a concert. Many international artists have played in this theatre.

Only recently reopened after a lengthy closure due to a fire, this is a favourite concert venue among Parisians. They host world music, hip-hop, metal and electro concerts.

A year after the Paris attacks, the Bataclan has reopened it’s doors to become another pillar concert venue showcasing the best of rock and pop music.

This 19th century theatre was converted into a media art centre and amazing concert hall. The venue is an ideal location to enjoy sampling their eclectic line up.

This venue is a holy temple for live music in Paris. If you name any major international artist; Edith Piaf,Charles Aznavour, Nina Simone, Johnny Hallyday, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, The Beatles, The Cure, Madonna… they have all “played l’Olympia”.
