ROMANTIC SITES IN PARIS

To spend the most romantic day in Paris, be sure you visit some of the most romantic parks and love-filled art museums in the city with the one you love.

PARC DE BUTTES-CHAUMONT

Escape the other tourists in love strolling through the Jardin des Tuileries and the Jardin du Luxembourg and visit Buttes-Chaumont, a Parisian favorite spot. Upon entering the park, you will feel almost as if you are walking into a fairytale. The greenery of the park in the warmer months of the year makes it the perfect place for a picnic. However even in February when you visit a less-green park, you will still get the pleasure of overlooking the water and exploring the park together with your loved one that will not be disturbed by the hustle and bustle of the city and its tourists.

BOIS DE VINCENNES

Similarly to Buttes-Chaumont, the Bois de Vincennes is an incredible park that is less-visited by the tourists of Paris and also the largest public park in Paris. As seen in the photo below, the Temple of Love that exists in both the Parc de Buttes-Chaumont is also at the Bois de Vincennes, but accessible by paddle boat at the Bois de Vincennes. For a lover's activity row together on over to the Temple of Love, which has stood there since 1860.

MUSÉE D'ORSAY AND MUSÉE DE L'ORANGERIE

Nothing says love more than the soft pastels and the gentle brushstrokes of an Impressionist painting. At Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie, you will not only find a spectacular collection of Impressionist paintings by some of the most influential artists of the 19th century  but you will also find yourself in a gorgeous refurbished train station at Orsay and walking around an oval room completely made up of Monet's waterlilies at the Orangerie. Without a doubt, every couple visiting these museums will feel the love.

MUSÉE DE LA VIE ROMANTIQUE

In the 9th arrondissement of Paris there is a small abandoned mansion that is now known as the Museum of Romantic Life. Here you will see paintings and sculptures all related to love, in addition to mementos that used to belong to George Sand. The museum also has a garden and courtyard for you to explore after visiting the permanent collection. While the permanent collection is always free, admission to the temporary exhibitions can be visited at an extra cost.

Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

Also in the 9th arrondissement, Galeries Lafayette has the best site to appreciate the beauty of the city. We all know that the Tour Eiffel has already become a symbol of romance in the City of Love. Whether you're on a budget trip or ready to spend little money to impress your chéri(e), going up to the rooftop of this landmark department store is absolutely a good idea. You can either enjoy the panorama of Paris for free in their open terrasse area, or have a drink inside the Ice Cube Bar where you can have a serene alone time away from the winter breeze. Why not?
