If you are driving to Normandy from London, just across the English Channel, you can drive across the Eurotunnel to Rouen, the capital of the Normandy region.

3 DAYS- WHAT TO DO IN NORMANDY

If you only have 1 day in Normandy, you may want to visit the iconic Mont Saint-Michel because you can see the coastline as well as a very unique cultural heritage site all in one day.

If you have 2 days in Normandy, plan on spending some extra time visiting the Normandy beaches and World War II memorials.

If you have a 3 day Normandy itinerary planned, visit Mont Saint-Michel, the beaches and World War II memorials as well as drive around to picturesque small towns. While in these towns, consider touring Normandy by bike after parking your car at the train station or parking garages. Normandy towns are small and made for exploring by foot or on a bike for some fun!

INSIDR hack! Be sure to try ciders and crêpes while in Normandy as they often compete with those from Brittany. For more foodie treats, some of the best places for oysters in France are in Normandy due to their freshness because of its proximity to the sea. Also take note of the unique Romanesque and Medieval architecture in the Normandy towns. These facades are made with stone or timber with many decorative stripes and colors. As it often rains in Normandy you may be wondering what to do in Normandy when its raining?- have a great meal of a crêpe and cider in a Medieval restaurant. You'll find these throughout all of Normandy.

WHERE TO NEXT?

Brittany: In just one hour from Mont Saint-Michel, you can reach Saint Malo and Cancale in Brittany. Cancele truly has some of the best places for oysters in France, and the small Medieval cobbled stone streets of Saint Malo are worth exploring.
