The Christmas market on the Champs-Élysées is the most visited Christmas market by tourists in Paris. Wooden stands containing food, hot wine and souvenirs start at Place de la Concorde and continue down the Champs-Élysées. This is a fun market to attend with children as there are many rides, games and even an ice skating rink, as well as sweet treats such as churros and waffles for them to enjoy. This market is open everyday from 10:30 am until midnight and on Friday and Saturday nights until 1am. Additionally, this market begins the earliest out of all of the Christmas markets in Paris, opening on November 11th.
Avenue des Champs-Élysées, 8th arrondissement
INSIDR inside tip: As of December 14th, not far from this market you can go iceskating in the Grand Palais which is incredibly beautiful inside, making your ice skating experience even more special than it would be on the Champs-Élysées.
The Christmas market at La Défense is the largest and most visited Christmas market by Parisian locals. This Christmas market can be enjoyed by children, teenagers and adults and is the Christmas market in Paris that we at INSIDR highly recommend! The stalls at this market are filled with local and artisan products, amazing traditional foods and decorated with an abundance of Christmas lights.
