“Bruncher” is now a verb in popular parlance here in Paris, and we understand why, as there is nothing quite like a slow Sunday morning followed by a generous, delicious brunch. Fortunately, in Paris you aren’t short of places to source a winning brunch; tasty, aesthetically pleasing, good coffee… but there is a major drawback, brunches in Paris are EXPENSIVE!  INSIDR set our INSIDER community the challenge of finding some top spots to get a delicious brunch for under 20 €, they certainly didn’t disappoint. Here are their findings:

Le café qui parle

Every weekend, this restaurant offers an impressive serve-yourself buffet of freshly made viennoise pastries, salads, home-made jams, bagels, cheeses, fresh fruit… basically all your heart could possibly desire for a buffet style brunch. The best part? It’s only 17,50€ for a generous meal, so you won’t be left out of pocket, but certainly left full of food. This place is a hit during the weekend, so we highly recommend getting there between 10:30- 11am or around 3pm so you have a chance of finding a table!

To match its colourful, funky interior, Thank you, My Deer has a menu to match. Home-made sandwiches, salads, sweet and savoury waffles and tartines gourmandes are all found on the menu of this proudly gluten-free café. Prices for brunch vary between 20€ and 22€, but we think that extra 2€ is worth it for this jolly brunch outing!

A brunch feast at Coquelicot should definitely make it onto your itinerary of things to do during your trip to Montmartre.  Serving a feast fit for an army during the week for a reasonable 18,45 €, it will be the ideal reward for trekking up the steep hill to the Sacre Coeur.  If you plan on going on the weekend, brunch is slightly out of our budget at 20,60 € and much busier (booking highly recommended) so a weekday trip will save you time and money!

This stylish establishment is a hit with Parisians, and we can see why when you take a look at their extensive brunch menu! Whilst they don’t serve a formule brunch option, if you are canny with your selection, you are on the path to brunch perfection. For example, their full English breakfast and a café crème will keep you within budget at 18€.

Located in the heart of the trendy Marais area, Le Comptoir serves a classic brunch menu of bacon and scrabbled eggs, sautéed potatoes, salad, pastries, orange juice and a hot drink for 17 €, not bad for a restaurant which is on the same road as Valentino!

Eggs Benedict, smoked salmon, tartines, fresh orange juice… the guys at la Boite aux Lettres have met the criteria for a brilliant brunch, andddd under our budget at 18€. It’s only served from midday on a Sunday, but we reckon Sunday is the best brunch day anyway.

Don’t let the modest appearance of this restaurant fool you, they serve a buffet brunch fit for kings, and for a paupers price. If the sun is shining, take a seat on the terrace as you enjoy plates of buffet goodness, sweet and savoury. 20€ for the brunch buffet, 10€ for the children’s buffet menu.
