DRIVING FROM PARIS TO BURGUNDY
From Paris you can reach Beaune in about 3-4 hours and it is recommended to rent a car at Paris Gare du Nord before traveling outside the city. This scenic drive to an even more scenic destination brings you past historic trails in Dijon, châteaux and small villages that are all around Beaune, your final destination.

In 1 day: Enjoy the capital city Dijon- sampling their famous mustard!
In 2 days: Spend another day on a wine route (Route des Grands Crus): from Beaune, Beaujolais to Meusault and Chablis- sampling wine but not too much when driving the route des grandes crus!
In 3 days: Take an extra day visiting Auxerres, Nevers and Mâcon
BURGUNDY WINE ROAD
While you should definitely sample the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Burgundy, be sure to also sample the local gastronomy!
Truffles- they are the freshest and the best in Burgundy, usually hunted down by trained dogs and pigs but can be done by YOU if you're interested in booking this experience

Champagne region- If you're not sufficiently tired of wine by the end of your visit in Burgundy, head north where the bubbly is internationally prestigious! Here you can visit the vineyards and champagne cellars in Reims (Veuve Clicquot) or Epernay (Moet et Chandon), as well as Reims' magnificent cathedral.
Lyon- And if you're not tired of food, head south to one of the best cities in France for both gastronomic specialities as well as wines. Lyon is a large city but less touristy than Paris with many charming secret passages between buildings, local restaurants and beautiful buildings alone the Sâone and Rhone river.
