CHÂTEAU DE FONTAINEBLEAU
Another day trip destination that is doable from the city of Paris is the Château de Fontainebleau. It is a great day trip for the whole family to enjoy something different, especially if you pack a picnic to have in the gardens. Full price admission tickets are 11€, and reduced tickets are 9€. Many art lovers may want to consider taking a day trip to Auvers-sur-Oise to visit the former home of Vincent Van Gogh! In this town you can also visit with Van Gogh and his brother's graves in the local cemetery as well as visit the famous church that Van Gogh made a painting of in a distorted perspective as he is so known for doing (today the painting is in the Musée d'Orsay). All attractions in this town are free of charge.

DAY TRIP TO VAUX-LE-VICOMTE
Traveling to Vaux-le-Vicomte from Paris is simple, and similar to the travel route that is required to reach Fontainebleau.
