We tell you all you need to know about staying connected and where you can get free wifi while in Paris!

If you're booked at an Airbnb or a hotel, you probably have a wifi connection. Most hotels and apartments will have wifi connectivity. But what about while you're walking in Paris?

There are free wifi zones in the city- the Champs-Elysées, the area around the Notre-Dame, some of the parks in Paris are "free wifi zones". Public libraries also have free wifi and some musuems and cafés offer them as well. However the connection is often poor and it is difficult to connect!

You can also find "co-working spaces" - one of our favourite places is cool café called Hubsy in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris. Here you can drink unlimited outstanding coffee and lattés while you work for only 5€ per hour! You're paying for your time rather than the drinks. You can search the web for other coworking cafés too!

To be able to use your own phone for calling and wifi in Paris, you'll have to check first if it's unlocked and compatible with tri-band/GSM. If this is done, you can buy a sim card in Paris - available at mobile stores suchs as SFR boutique, Orange and Free.

Local calls are affordable but if you call internationally and use mobile data, it will become very expensive. Data is not cheap!
